Lucy lives at Tiptoe and provides Pilates sessions in the Pilates Studio or in your holiday cottage accommodation. There is usually a small Monday 10.30 am class that guests are always welcome to join.
Lucy is a qualified BASI (Body Arts and Science Institute) Mat Pilates instructor, and she has also studied the BASI Injuries and Pathologies , and Scoliosis courses.
The sessions are prepared and tailored for the individual and can be for a Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced standard. BASI Pilates connects the mind, body and spirit in a precise way, and provides an all-over body exercise that is a disciplined and controlled movement.
Lucy’s passion for Pilates began after a lower back injury in 2017, and regular Pilates with Carrie Lambert has helped to heal, maintain, and ease the pain over the years.
Since realising and understanding the potential and the empowerment that Pilates gave to the body to keep it conditioned, strong, and flexible, she began her training in 2022 to help others enjoy learning Pilates safely.
Lucy’s past career, as a qualified Registered General Nurse gives her the insight to understand the enormous benefits of Pilates, including core strength, balance, and enhanced mindfulness in daily life.

At Tiptoe we are located on the edge of the International Dark Sky Park, this park has the darkest skies in England and the second largest area of protected night sky in Europe. This gives our guests a great opportunity to star gaze. Guests are welcome to star gaze in the garden and grounds at Tiptoe or travel to a local Dark Sky Discovery Site or Stargazing Destination. The best time of year to star gaze is in Autumn and through winter. On a clear night thousands of stars are visible and even the milky way.
Locations that have very low light pollution, provide good sightlines to the sky, and have public access.
